Broadway!

I have a love for broadway. I always have. One thing that I really want to do right now is go and see The Little Mermaid on Broadway. I've been listening to Part of Your World by Sierra Boggess, and I absolutely LOVE IT!

I've also done a lot of listening to the Mamma Mia! Soundtrack. I love that movie and musical!

I'm also listening to Seasons of Love by RENT. I know this song from 4th grade, when we had to sing it during a concert. It's... ok. Not my favorite.

I'm listening to Defying Gravity still. LOL. From Wicked.

Defying Gravity lyrics

Since I love this song so so much, I decided to put the lyrics for it up!! If I find more songs I absolutely love, then I'll probably continue to do lyrics. Here goes! Defying Gravity-Idina Menzel. Something has changed within me. Something is not the same. I'm through with playingby the rules of someone elses game. Too late for second guessing. Too late to go back to sleep. It's time to trust my instincts, close my eyes and leap! It's time to try defying gravity. I think I'll try defying gravity. Kiss me goodbye I'm defying gravity and you won't bring me down. I'm tired of choosing things, cuz someone says they're so. Some things I cannot change but til I try I'll never know. Unfortunately I can't remember the rest. Lol

What am I listening to now??

Ello! I have been listening to some really good music lately, and discovering more and more! Here's a few songs I've had on repeat for awhile. :)

Defying Gravity- From the musical Wicked, but I've been listening to Lea Michele and Chris Colfer's amazingly spectacular Glee version. It has a great sound to it, and the lyrics are absolutely amazing! I am so learning this one!

Lighters- Ok, I know, rap is SO not my thing, and the thought of me listening to rap a few months ago would've have absolutely astonished me. But I finally, after quite a bit of persuasion, gave it a chance. The only rapper I would ever listen to is Eminem, but it's better than nothing, eh? He's great at it!

Jar of Hearts- Christina Perri's best song, in my eyes. Quite slow, but has a great sound to it.

Dream On (Glee version)- Originally by Aerosmith, still amazing! It's got a kind of, "I'm awesome, don't you mess with me" feel to it. Great battle music. Listen to it before SCA combat, seriously people. Gets you ready to do some ye old buttkicking! LOL

Rolling in the Deep- Words can't describe how awesome this song is!!!

New Moon The Meadow- Alexandre Desplat and his amazing New Moon score album. Main track. Purely piano, absolutely beautiful.

I recommend everyone check out these songs, they're all absolutely EPIC! I know I've listened to them more than a few times. XD

Freelance Whales, Florence and the Machine, and Like A Storm

These are 3 bands that I don't think have enough recognition, so I decided I would put this post out here and hopefully get more people to see how amazing they are!

1-The Freelance Whales- I first heard about the Freelance Whales when their amazing song, Generator First Floor, was featured on a Starbucks commercial. I listened to the lyrics in the commercial and put them into google, then found the band and song. I listened to most of their songs, and I have to say, they are a really great band! They're music is unique, and so cool!

2-Florence and the Machine- Florence and the Machine is one of my favorites! I heard her in the ending credits of Eclipse, her song Heavy in Your Arms. Since then, listening to her other songs, she is absolutely amazing! Her songs kinda have a dark feel to them, when in reality they are fun and upbeat!

3-Like A Storm- OK, these people need to be recognized a LOT more than they are!! They are just absolutely fantabulous! They're a kind of rock band, and my 2 favorites by them are Just Save Me and Galaxy. Awesome awesome awesome!!!! XD
